TWO PLANTS STARTED STRIKE ON FRIDAY THE 13TH OF AUGUST 2021

THESE TWO PLANTS ARE MC CAIN (SPRINGS ) AND DELMAS

WHICH IS PLUS OR MINUS 500 MEMBERS



ISSUES WERE AS FOLLOWS



THE NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS.

WE STARTED WITH 13 DEMANDS NOW WE ARE LEFT WITH SEVEN (7) UNRESOLVED

ISSUES ARE OF THE BARGAINING SCOPE ITS COVERS C2 AND C3

WE WANT THE TRAVEL ALLOWANCE TO BE R300

WE WANT THE NIGHTSHIFT ALLOWANCE TO INCREASE FROM 11% TO 15%

WE WANT THE RETRENCHMENT TO INCREASE FROM 2 WEEKS TO 4 WEEKS FOR THE COMPLETED YEARS OF SERVICES

WE WANT MEDICAL AID TO BE INCREASED BY ANNUAL INFLATION PERCENTAGE

WE WANT 100% GUARANTEED DECEMBER BONUS

WE WANT 7% ACROSS THE BOARD INCREASE.

comrades were marching to handin memorandum at Rosebank Mc Cain head office lead by the provincial secretary of Gauteng, they gave the employer 72 hours to respond to the issues cited on a memorandum

I am extremely glad to see this understandable and wise move of the demands. I am getting jealous now, I wish it is Senwes group demands and that peaceful march. Please leadership, try to speed up the recruitment in Senwes group. I would be very happy if next year Senwes employees were represented by AFADWU at the bargaining council wages negotiations.
